I’m Kate, a registered clinical Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and registered Nutritional Therapist in Cheltenham. This process also involves the nervous system. IBS can sometimes be caused by an error in communication between the gut, the brain and the nervous system. As a result, the gut is more sensitive, and it experiences digestive issues. Gut-directed hypnotherapy is also shown to support other issues such as anxiety and psychological well-being.
