I’m Kate, a registered clinical Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and registered Nutritional Therapist in Cheltenham. I specialise in anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), digestive wellness and behaviour change. I practise both nutritional therapy and hypnotherapy in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and online via Zoom. See link here. Have you heard of the gut-brain connection? The gut sends signals to the brain and the brain sends signals to the gut to control your digestion. This process also involves the nervous system. IBS can sometimes be caused by an error in communication between the gut, the brain and the nervous system. As a result, the gut is more sensitive, and it experiences digestive issues. Gut-directed hypnosis is also shown to support other issues such as anxiety and psychological well-being. I provide hypnosis for anxiety and IBS  in Leckhampton, Cheltenham as a therapy on its own or I offer a unique combination of hypnotherapy combined with nutritional therapy. To be clear, the therapies are conducted separately. But I work with you separately as both a hypnosis practitioner and as a nutritional therapist supporting the one goal. Why combine the two? As I have said, hypnotherapy is effective at supporting the nervous system which can provide another layer of support for digestive issues like IBS, as well as the accompanying anxiety and stress. Gut-directed hypnotherapy is an evidenced protocol to support IBS. And nutritional therapy can also be effective at supporting root causes of IBS. Combining the two can be a powerful therapy.

This is so we can have a chat to make sure that I’m the right person to help you. Then we will arrange a date and time, I’ll email you the paperwork and an invoice. You’ll pay the invoice to secure your appointment and send the paperwork via email up to the day before the appointment. I’ll plan and prepare for the session and we will meet for your initial consultation.
